The Story of Bays Connect

I’m Nadia Asheg, a freelance community champion with over 15 years’ experience in social care, volunteer coordination, crisis intervention, leadership, and community outreach. I also have extensive experience in project and service management, having coordinated complex programmes and initiatives to support communities effectively. I have facilitated referrals to more than 160 supported housing spaces and serve as a trustee for a local charity. I hold full professional indemnity and public liability insurance, am DBS-checked, and maintain ongoing professional training to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant support.

I founded Bays Connect after repeatedly seeing the same challenge: organisations often needed practical, hands-on support, and the systems to connect skills and capacity were missing. I provide flexible, timely support where it’s needed most.

My mission is simple: when organisations have the tools, capacity, and support they need, and when people can contribute their time and skills meaningfully, communities are stronger.
